Let's reduce aggressive driving that results in crashes, property damage, bodily injury, and far too much aggravation. Let's be more courteous on the highways.

At Siegfried & Jensen we see on a daily basis the aftermath of crashes that are oftentimes the result of aggressive driving. Some crashes could have been avoided; some could not. Crashes do and will happen but we all can be more courteous on the highways.

Fingersarefor.com borrows a page from the American Dental Association, who for years has urged us all to eat fewer sweets, and brush and floss daily to prevent tooth decay. Although it might at first seem like a contradiction for dentists to promote good dental hygiene resulting in less business for them, it's not. Dentists have proven themselves to be valued health professionals.

Now, as Siegfried & Jensen, we're calling on all drivers to be more courteous on the highways. Taking our time, looking out for other guy, using common sense and being more courteous on the highways will result in fewer crashes, less property and bodily damage and far less aggravation. And the last thing we should do is provoke an incident  with another driver by using obscene gestures. Such actions will only escalate the situation with even more devastating consequences.

We invite you to take the test on this Web site. It's fun and lighthearted but represents real situations we've either all been involved in or know about firsthand. But one word of caution, while the interactive test is meant to be fun, aggressive driving and its effects are very serious subjects.

When each of us gets in our car we have a responsibility to drive safely. We make certain choices that can impact not only ourselves and those riding with us but other motorists as well.

After you take the test we want you to do three things:

  1. Make a concerted effort to be more courteous on the highways.
  2. Join Our Campaign! We'll send you a free bumper sticker you can proudly display signifying your pledge to drive more courteously.
  3. Enlist the support of your family, friends and neighbors. Get them to take the Fingers Are For.Com test so they will become more courteous drivers too.

We've taken the pledge at Siegfried & Jensen and hope you will too. Be courteous on the highways. There are better uses for our fingers.
